Product Director (FTC)
The Product Director will be accountable for leading the strategic direction and development of Revolution Beauty’s product lines, overseeing the end-to-end product development process, ensuring Revolution Beauty is meeting the needs and demands of its customers. Relevant industry experience and in- depth knowledge of the market is essential to enable us to reach our full potential with all brands and categories under Revolution Beauty.
What you’ll do:
- Define and lead the Product vision and strategy for Revolution, ensuring alignment with the Brand’s overall strategy.
- Work with category & brand marketing teams to build a 3-year product launch plan, delivering a global best in class calendar for Revolution.
- Lead Revolution product innovation to ensure products are the highest quality at the right margins. Assess the commercial viability of all new products, including launch plans for relevant markets.
- Formulating and creating all new products across Revolution brands & product categories. Ensuring the key brand differentiators are clearly reflected in the quality and design of our products. Seeking opportunities for new ingredients, sustainable materials and advanced formulations.
- Work with technical teams to ensure all EPD projects are managed & delivered to launch timings. Deep understanding of global regulations and requirements.
- Through high level management, you will oversee project management of multiple projects & CPA’s to deliver projects from concept to execution. Assessing risk at each stage and clearly communicating action plan & alignment with cross functional teams.
- Closely work with brand marketing teams to ensure launch calendar, product messaging is in line with trends and Revolution brand identity.
- Reviewing market intelligence, insight and product sales trends to drive future commercial and product-related decisions
- Identify new category and sub-category opportunities, defining the category mix and price hierarchies. Developing categories and products that are in line with Revolution’s profitability targets.
- Review product performance and monitor the product sales trends, in alignment with the Commercial function. Continuously assess and optimise the product portfolio, identify mature SKUs for relaunch, and review and adjust SKU classifications
- Manage the global product supply base. Focused on centres of excellence & supplier KPI’s. Developing products with sustainable approach to product development.
- Contribute as a key member of the senior team to support the strategy and growth of Revolution Beauty.
- Work cross functionally at a senior level within Revolution Beauty representing product team. Skilled at efficient process management to ensure cross functional working is as productively and impactful as possible.
- Present product portfolio with deep knowledge to internal teams, SLT & external retail teams.
- Lead, support & inspire the product team, to develop a strong product innovative team and inspire them to meet their individual objectives and goals.
What you’ll have
- Extensive established experience in product development within the Beauty Industry. At head of department/director level.
- Multi-category & brand management: deep understanding of cosmetics, skincare and beauty NPD.
- Demonstrated success in developing and launching products, showcasing strong market performance
- Industry aware: Strong understanding of market trends and consumer needs
- Excellent leadership, management and communication skills. Experience in leading product & artwork teams.
- Deep understanding of product formulation & experience working with a global dynamic supply base.
